This painting is part of my Scales Series. These aren’t typical colors I gravitate to, but I love how it turned out! I wanted to capture the tones from another photo I took this time in Florence, Italy. It is a doorway with sun and shadows and the arching curve that is in the Scales. If you squint and peek you can see how I turned it into that abstract modern thing I do.
